My great grandfather paved over 84 acres of pristine Sonoran desert to build a shopping mall. My family became wealthy buying, selling and developing stolen Native American land. I have always had more than I need because I was born into privilege.
I am sick of the violence of capitalism: poverty, war, police repression, ecological destruction, consumerism and selfishness. We can do better than this. A fundamental restructuring of our economy will benefit everyone, even us in the 1%.
I would rather give my great grandchildren an inheritance of a healthy environment, an intact and caring community and a REAL democracy than give them money made from the exploitation of people and the natural world.
Tax me. Reverse the Citizens United case.
Corporations are NOT people.
Get Wall Street out of Washington.
I am the 1%. I stand with the 99%.

As a Native American I have to say THANK YOU for acknowledging that the land was stolen. So few people are wiling to do that, and their denial leads to the further dehumanization of First Nations peoples. <3
